    What We Are Looking For:
    We are looking for a highly motivated, knowledgeable, and versatile individual to join our engineering staff.

    This role will work closely with our technicians, clients, and other engineers on all aspects of projects within our Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) Program.

    Tasks may include planning and implementing of NDE program on various structure types (dams, bridges, buildings), coordination with clients, equipment selection, field testing, interpretation of data, analysis and of recorded data, and report writing.

    What You'll Do:
    Engineering Tasks
    Development of testing plans and documents to meet overall project requirements and scope
    Work directly with Project Manager on project coordination, planning, and logistics
    Making engineering decisions while on jobsites to ensure a safe and effective field deployment
    Updating documents and photos upon project completion and provide lessons learned to team
    Review and interpret project data so that conclusions can be drawn and reported to our clients
    Assist analysis team with project deliverables through project reports and findings
    Use of various design codes in computing structural capacities and allowable serviceability limit states
    On-Site NDE Investigation
    Lead field projects as site supervisor to ensure work quality and safety
    Coordinate travel and equipment logistics for team members
    Follow and execute project plans on budget and on time
    Consistently evaluate processes and procedures and recommend cost-saving and process improvement ideas
    Review or complete client facing documentation (Submittals, daily field logs, Workplans, etc.)
    Ensure adherence to project specifications and contractual requirements
    Perform data collection, in-field interpretation and in-field QAQC on a variety of nondestructive techniques including ultrasonic, electromagnetic, and chemical techniques on a variety of materials (steel, concrete and timber)
    Perform material collection for subsequent material testing including concrete cores, powder samples, or other sample types as required by the project scope

    Use professional judgement on site to collect supplementary information related to the NDE investigation through visual inspection, including notes, photographs, and sketches.

    Troubleshoot and fix malfunctioning instruments
    Work in a variety of conditions including working at heights, overnight shifts, and in all types of weather conditions

    Project Support:
    Travel to select field projects to perform NDE field investigations as needed
    Other duties as assigned or as the situation dictates

    What You Need to Be Successful:
    Basic experience with NDE or NDT techniques, projects, or analysis
    Ability to learn and understand the operation and underlying principles of various NDE techniques, and apply them to NDE field investigation projects
    A background in Civil, Mechanical, or Geophysical Engineering
    Proficient experience with AutoCAD and exposure to other software and programming
    Strong verbal and written communication skills that can address multiple audiences
    Strong knowledge and understanding of civil infrastructure materials, structural assemblies, and deterioration mechanisms
    Proficient using various hand tools and power tools
    Experience operating machinery

    Knowledgeable in variety of engineering solutions for Nondestructive Evaluation

    Comfortable working at heights (250 feet +)
    Detail oriented and organized

    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree Engineering
    1-3 years relevant engineering experience (NDE, inspection and/or analysis)
    Engineer In Training (EIT) required or ability to obtain EIT within 6 months of hire
    Willing to travel (50% + field work) and conduct field work
    SPRAT L1 Certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire
    Valid driver's license with acceptable record to drive company vehicles preferred

    Starting Salary Range:
    $55,000 - $90,000 per year
