    Manufacturing Technician - Oxnard, CA
    12 month contract, to $30/hr BOE

    Position is for an aerospace/defense client.
    United States citizenship is required. Previous aerospace/defense experience is strongly preferred.

    Performs functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies.

    Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments.

    REQUIRED - 1) Knowledge and experience with all common mechanical hand tools. 2) Knowledge and experience with fasteners and torquing mechanical fasteners. 3) Ability to read and understand blue-print style mechanical drawings.

    Technician could end up performing any number of tasks.

    Examples of the kind of tasks are as follows:

    assembling large tooling structures, using two-part epoxies for bonding, assembling small/delicate mechanical flight hardware, working with and assembling composite structures, sewing/stitching mesh fabric.

    Knowing and understanding how to read blueprint type assembly drawings is a big plus.
