    About the role:
    We are looking for an Industrial Engineer with experience working in operations of fulfillment and distribution centers.

    Seeking an Industrial Engineer who has experience with aligning warehouse automation to operational processes in efforts to create improvements and efficiencies in process and technology.

    The optimal candidate would have experience in warehouse automation implementation projects assisting the automation partners and operations team in the implementation efforts, from testing the technology and interface messages along with ensuring the automation meets the user expectations.

    This candidate should also have the knowledge to identify, analyze and aid in the implementation of process improvements that drive increased productivity and increased profitability for the clients.

    This role would typically work alongside a broader team engaged with a client and other team members, ensuring project objectives and deliverables are being met.


    What you will be doing:


    o Assessment of client's automation technology, data interfaces and warehouse process' to develop implementation test scripts and plans for warehouse modernization and automation projects.

    o Conducting assessments of fulfillment and distribution center operations to identify opportunities for improvement.
    o Use data analysis techniques to identify trends and outcomes of recommendations.
    Develop and document process flows, including improvement strategies, automation tools, and potential technology implementations.

    o Contribute to the overall project plan and communicate status of assigned tasks to ensure timeline compliance, completion of deliverables and adherence to budgets.

    o Collaboration with cross-functional teams both internally and with clients.

    o When appropriate, develop warehouse block plans and or CAD drawings to capture process improvements, facility modernization, or new facility layout recommendations.


    About you:


    The successful candidate for this role will have a solid background in Industrial Engineering, an understanding of automation in fulfillment and distribution center operations as well as experience in developing and implementing end to end testing of automation and operational along with identifying process improvements that drive productivity and profitability.

    o Must enjoy helping clients solve problems.
    o Must have 5+ years of experience working in a relatable field.
    o Able to document clear processes both current and recommendations.
    o Experience in the supply chain, e-commerce, and omnichannel retail in a B2B or B2C setting is highly desirable.

    o A proven record of building relationships with effective communication, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex concepts internally and to external clients.

    o Experience using data and analytics to drive results.
    o Experience with AutoCAD or similar software is preferred.
    A Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering, or a related field is desired.
    Additional Job Details
    Our client is located in Northern California, and this position will require a significant onsite presence. The ideal candidate would already live in or near San Jose, California. If outside Northern California, you must be able to travel extensively.
