    Dental Assistant Role at Ortega Boulevard Dental

    Ortega Boulevard Dental is a well-established high production general dental office located in Jacksonville, Florida. The practice is part of a small emerging Dental Service Organization called Shore Dental Partners.

    We are seeking an experienced and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Clean and prepare operatory rooms to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients.
    • Maintain dental instruments, supplies, and equipment to optimal standards.
    • Assist hygienists as needed, providing exceptional patient care.
    • Take dental radiographs (if licensed) to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
    • Record patient medical history, blood pressure, and pulses to provide comprehensive care.
    • Develop and implement infection control protocols to safeguard patients and staff.
    • Support patients' comfort and well-being before, during, and after dental treatment.
    • Enter accurate patient information into charting systems.
    • Handle patient reception, seating, and dismissal with professionalism.

    Requirements:

    • Graduation from a recognized dental assisting program.
    • A genuine passion for the dental industry and helping others.
    • Kindness, compassion, and excellent communication skills are essential.
    • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment is necessary for success.
