    Description

    Job Description:

    Reporting to the Occupational Therapist Supervisor, the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) will be responsible for providing services to children aged - 3 years old under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OT) while working alongside Speech-Language Pathologists, ABA Therapists, and a team of dedicated professionals in this dynamic non-profit organization.

    Interested individuals should have a strong background in working with young children and have knowledge of the evaluation and treatment of infants and toddlers.


    Requirements:
    New York State licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant Previous experience in autism and early childhood desired Adaptable in a new environment Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus Salary:$55,000 - $68,000Schedule:8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - FridayThis is a full-time, 12-month position

    Provide direct care treatment to children ages - 3 Review physician's referral and children's medical records to help determine diagnosis and occupational therapy treatment required Plan, prepare and perform individually designed treatment programs to maintain, improve and/or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain and/or prevent physical dysfunction in children Identify and document goals, anticipated progress, and plans for re-evaluation Evaluate effectiveness of treatment at various stages and adjusts treatment to achieve maximum benefit Collaborate with related services in providing individualized programming for each child Participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP)
