- Assist senior Project Managers in planning and coordinating environmental projects, including environmental impact assessments, site remediation, environmental monitoring, and permitting processes.
- Conduct research and gather data on environmental regulations, best practices, and industry trends to support project planning and decision-making.
- Coordinate fieldwork activities, including site visits, sample collection, and monitoring, while adhering to project schedules and safety protocols.
- Assist in analyzing data and preparing reports, presentations, and technical documents to communicate project findings and recommendations effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, scientists, and regulatory agencies, to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and project requirements.
- Support the development and implementation of environmental management plans, pollution prevention strategies, and sustainability initiatives.
- Assist in conducting environmental risk assessments and identifying potential environmental impacts associated with project activities.
- Maintain accurate project records, including field notes, laboratory results, and other relevant documentation.
- Stay updated on environmental laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure compliance and promote continuous improvement in project execution.
- Contribute to a positive team environment, actively participating in meetings, sharing knowledge, and collaborating with colleagues to achieve project objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental management, natural resources, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting processes.
- Previous experience in environmental consulting, project management, or a related field is desirable but not required.
- Proficient in conducting research, analyzing data, and preparing technical reports.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using environmental software and tools such as GIS, statistical analysis software, and data management systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel occasionally for project-related fieldwork.
- Experience with the Texas Railroad Commission (TRC), TCEQ spill rules, TCEQ reduction risk program.
