    Job Description KRSS College Station Store Sales Associate **Description**

    **POSITION SUMMARY:** A Sales/Associate is responsible for generating sales of merchandise, such as leather goods, luggage, hunting accessories, boots, apparel and jewelry by assisting customers in the selection of products.

    **RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:**

    Assist customers in the selection of goods ensuring that each customer receives professional service in person and on the phone. Be proficient with up-selling and cross-selling merchandise.

    Provide a friendly professional environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging customers.

    Demonstrate solid product knowledge, including function and care. Maintain an awareness of all merchandise promotions, sales, and advertisements.

    Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance and store housekeeping.

    Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise. Participate in receiving and monitoring floor stock. Ensure re-wraps are done promptly.

    Adhere to all Company policies, procedures and practices including signing, pricing, and loss prevention.

    Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions and maintain proper cash and media accountabilities at POS registers.

    Communicate customer requests to management.

    Promote and answer questions about the history of King Ranch to customers.

    Transfer and stock materials for the store.

    Includes other duties as assigned.

    **Qualifications**

    **EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE DESIRED:**

    Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

    **SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC:**

    Must be able to perform mathematical equations on a high school level in order to understand product costs, charges, returns and change. (add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions, etc).

    Ability to process information/merchandise through computer system and POS register system telephone, calculator and facsimile machine.

    Ability to communicate and effectively interact with associates and customers.

    Ability to read, count, calculate and write to accurately complete forms, product instructions and inventory logs.

    Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store.

    Must be able to stamp (personalize) selected leather goods.

    Must be able to follow instruction from supervision and possess filing and organizational skills

    Must be able to work a flexible schedule according to production schedule and seasonal activities. The schedule will include weekends and holiday as necessary.

    **SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:** (IF APPLICABLE)

    No supervisory responsibilities

    **PHYSICAL DEMANDS/REQUIREMENTS (Lifting, Bending, Stretching, etc.)**

    Ability to climb ladders

    Ability to move or handle merchandise throughout the store generally weighing 0-60 pounds

    Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.

    Ability to freely access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, and register area

    **WORK ENVIRONMENT:**

    Retail store located in College Station, TX.

    The physical demands that must be met by an employee are those needed to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation, as listed in the job description.

    **ADDITIONAL COMMENTS** Must be a team player who is willing to cooperate with others.

    Must be able to accept corrective criticism from supervisor.

    Must be willing to take on a variety of assignments as assigned by management on an as-needed basis within the department and within other areas of King Ranch if necessary.
