Web Developer (Java) – Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Web Developer with strong Java experience to support the design, development, and deployment of scalable web-based applications. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to build and maintain enterprise-level platforms that support core business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Java and related frameworks
- Build and support back-end services and APIs to enable seamless system integrations
- Collaborate with front-end developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions
- Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications to improve performance and usability
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development best practices
- Support application deployment, testing, and ongoing maintenance activities
- Document technical designs, processes, and system changes as required
Required Skills
- Experience developing web applications using Java
- Familiarity with frameworks such as Spring or Hibernate
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web services
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server or Oracle
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Familiarity with version control tools such as Git
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Maven
