- Direct and prioritize maintenance tasks for assigned areas in alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Ensure safety is a top priority while upholding quality and delivery requirements.
- Report to the Department Supervisor and oversee production, training, and the work of others.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address maintenance needs and optimize efficiency.
- High School Diploma preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience as an industrial Maintenance Mechanic preferred.
- Previous vocational or technical college coursework preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work with limited direct supervision.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for equipment problems.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, and structural diagrams.
- Previous experience in pneumatics, hydraulics, plumbing, and carpentry preferred.
- Experience in welding, fabrication, and the use of plasma and cutting equipment preferred.
- Electrical experience preferred.
- Previous training in HazMat and Spill Prevention preferred.
- PLC skills preferred.
- Ability to complete necessary paperwork including work orders for preventative maintenance.
- Proficiency in reading a tape measure and basic math including fractions.
- Ability to use arms, hands, legs, and feet in repetitive motions.
- Capability to change between sitting, standing, and kneeling positions.
- Willingness to twist, stoop, bend, and stand in the performance of job duties.
- Capacity to climb ladders and work at heights periodically.
- Ability to lift and carry 60 pounds occasionally.
- Comfort working on concrete floors and uneven surfaces for the duration of the work shift.
- Good vision and depth perception.
- Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment.
