    Overview


    The Occupational Therapist I provides center- and/or home-based therapy and parent training to assist in the development of fine motor, oral motor, and adaptive living skills for children with developmental disabilities and their families.

    In addition, the Occupational Therapist I assists the family with the coordination of all community services (e.g., school, medical, social, etc.).

    The Occupational Therapist I is also responsible for providing consultation to other team members, as needed.

    Qualifications


    • Certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation required.
    • Individual must demonstrate competence across all age groups due to the diversity of the children and families served by KKI.
    • Clinical care focus is on the neonate, pediatric, and adolescent populations, as well as some adults with disabilities.

    EDUCATION:

    • Must have a bachelor's degree in an approved occupational therapy program.
    • Must have a current Maryland Occupational Therapy license.
    • Must have successfully completed the national registration examination.

    EXPERIENCE:

    • Must have experience in pediatric evaluation/treatment.
    • Experience in coordinating community services preferred.
