    Essential Responsibilities

    • Manage multiple programs simultaneously within a quality/safety-focused distributed engineering organization. This includes domestic and international resources.
    • Develop, communicate, and update integrated program plans, schedules, and monitor adherence to ensure engineering development efforts are completed per QCD commitments, and meet the defined requirements.
    • Oversee cross-functional execution of product development activities, including interfacing with functional engineering managers, systems, product architects, hardware, software, test, safety, quality, supply, and industrialization teams as well as internal/external customers
    • Drive Program Reviews to review the operational execution of the Program together with the Meta-program Leader and Development/Technology Center (DC/TC) Director and provide QCD report to Platform and R&D (through Program Review Boards)
    • Lead application of Quality Management Systems to ensure project development effectiveness and adherence to the tollgate process; prepare /attend ISO and CMMI audits
    • Author proposals, including schedules with appropriate milestones, and estimates for resources and material costs, risks, and assumptions
    • Manage and facilitate brainstorming sessions, concept and design reviews in conjunction with functional managers and technical design teams
    • Ensure that Gate/Design/Peer Review decisions are implemented
    • Manage, control, and execute timely all developments related to the program (performances, planning/delivery, cost, risks, savings) and in compliance with the QCD commitments
    • Manage Delivery On-Time (IOT/DOT) commitment and change
    • Coordinate all Program Work Packages, Capacity /Resource analysis/ risks, and mitigation plans with unit/mtieraccording the Program Development Organization
    • Propose and drive improvement action plans in the Program (efficiency, competitiveness)
    Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor's Degree of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, or scientific subjects
    • At least 5 years experience in System/product Engineering or project management in digital/railway/automotive/aircraft
    • At least 5 years experience in the management of project/program baseline or in project Management of IT system
    • Hands-on experience in functional or hierarchical team management
    • Cost and planning control experience in engineering scope
    • Hands-on experience in Customer relationships on deliverables and scope management
    • Ability to think critically and analytically with a problem-solving mindset
    • Communication skills in a technical environment
    • Interpersonal skills (teamwork and leadership)
    • Knowledge of Risk assessment & opportunities and ability to anticipate and mobilize the team to reach objectives
    Desired Qualifications
    • Master's in Project Management
    • PMP certification
    • Agile Program/Project Management Certification/experience in-lieu of certification
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
    • Process orientation in approach to work
    • Ability to engage and build positive relationships with employees and internal and external customers
    • Ability to guide and influence others across dotted-line organizations
    • Ability to work in a cross-functional, distributed, global environment
    • Basic knowledge of Earned Value Management
