    Summary:


    Responsible for coordinating and overseeing all aspects of trauma operations, including trauma network survivor and post-traumatic stress syndrome screening within Danbury Hospital.

    Works in close collaboration with the Trauma Medical Director and Trauma Manager.

    Organizes the services and systems necessary for a multidisciplinary approach throughout the continuum of trauma care and ensures that the trauma team standards of care are maintained.


    Responsibilities:

    • Provide administrative support to the trauma operation team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.
    • Assist with organizing and maintaining documentation related to trauma patient care, treatment plans, and procedures.
    • Coordinate communication between medical staff, nurses, and other healthcare professionals involved in trauma patient care.
    • Help ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and standards by maintaining accurate records and documentation.
    • Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials to support the trauma operation team's activities.
    • Help coordinate training sessions and educational programs for staff members on trauma care protocols and best practices.
    • Support the implementation of quality improvement initiatives to enhance trauma care services.
    • Manage inventory of supplies and equipment used in trauma operations, placing orders as necessary.
    • Coordinates on-call services across the continuum of trauma care and is responsible for distributing them across the hospital.
    • Acts as onsite Coordinator at Danbury Hospital for the Trauma Survivors Network and maintains trauma survivor network.
    • Actively participates in the post-traumatic screening program that includes data collection and patient screening.
    • Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
    Performs other duties as assigned.


    Other information:
    Proven experience in an administrative support role, preferably in a healthcare or medical setting

    Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications
