- Looking for a Board Certified Pathologist, with an AR License, and recent surgical pathology experience
- Open to 2-5 days per week, Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm, no weekends, no call
- Will handle 15-20 cases per day, Approximately, 220 surgical/cytology specimens monthly
- Cases include General surgical pathology, GI, GU, CT guided biopsies, Breast biopsies, Ortho, ENT, GYN biopsies, rare non-gyn cytology
- Support staff includes two histotechnologists
- Physician is responsible for Gross and microscopic processing of specimens with the subsequent generation of gross and microscopic pathology reports and sign out of surgical pathology cases
- Frozen sections are rare but do occur periodically. Must be able to cut their own frozen sections. Peripheral smear reviews.
- Available to answer clinical pathology questions from the clinical lab when they arise.
- No Gyn cytology, no autopsies, no bone marrow biopsies.
- EMR is Meditech CS LIS and HER
