    POSITION SUMMARY:
    Transports inpatients and outpatients to and from their destinations safely within the hospital. Assists patients and patient care staff. Requirements


    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    EDUCATION:
    High School or equivalent required.
    CERTIFICATION/


    LICENSES:

    Basic Life Support (BLS) issued through American Heart Association required, or must be attained within two weeks of employment.


    SKILLS:

    • Ability to learn to use the following:
    • Wheelchairs
    • Gurneys
    * electric beds
    * cell phones
    * digital pagers


    • Effective human relations skills
    • Ability to retain composure under stress, to move quickly but effectively to meet patient care needs
    • Time management skills to manage a high volume of assignments as expeditiously as possible

    EXPERIENCE:
    Prior related work experience in medical environment preferred.

    NATURE OF SUPERVISION:

    Responsible to:
    Manager, Radiology


    ENVIRONMENT:

    • Bloodborne Pathogen C
    Exposure to various body fluids, infections and contagious diseases.
    Appropriate universal precautions protection must be used at all times

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
    Subject to stressful professional relationships. xhmxlyz Working hours vary, with flexibility needed to meet unexpected changes in schedule and emergencies.
