    Holtec International and its subsidiary companies are designing a safe and secure source of clean energy using nuclear fission, called the Holtec SMR (Small Modular Reactor).

    The position is offered by SMR LLC as a member of the Holtec International family, a global turnkey supplier of equipment and systems for the nuclear, solar, geothermal, and fossil power generation sectors of the energy industry.


    Job Description & Responsibilities:

    • Utilizing Smart3D (formerly SmartPlant 3D) to create 3D electrical models of the electrical systems within and supporting the SMR plant, including but not limited to single line diagrams, cable trays & cable tray supports, raceways, lighting, duct banks, cable routing, pull boxes, and embedded conduit
    • Maintaining and checking the S3D model to ensure accuracy, and resolution of interferences
    • Maintaining and checking the S3D model to ensure constructability, accuracy, and absence of interferences
    • Developing and checking design deliverables in accordance with industry codes and standards, contract requirements, and company standards.
    • Building relationships that will facilitate knowledge transfer, cross functional knowledge of related work groups, and ability to present work products effectively

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Minimum 2 years of experience as a SmartPlant 3D Electrical Designer
    • Knowledge of industry/regulatory codes and standards, and design and/or layout criteria
    • Strong knowledge of electrical drafting and design standards and techniques
    • Excellent attention to detail and capability of producing error-free documents
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and computer skills

    Optional Additional Qualifications:

    • Working understanding and hands on experience of other design software, such as Solidworks, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Navisworks, and Revit
    • Completion of Intergraph/Hexagon certified training courses
    • Professional certification in Electrical design
    • Progressive work experience in design or other relevant types of engineering such as systems startup, field engineering or plant operation in large industrial plants, utilities, process plants, or engineering/ construction firms.
