Golf Course Turf Staff

The Golf Course Turf Team performs upkeep and improvement of a golf course. Daily tasks require light manual labor, including training for those with or without experience working on a golf course.

Expectations And Duties

• Works under supervision of Superintendent, Asst. Superintendent, and lead staff member.
• Receives training from designated staff members.

Tasks include operating equipment such as Greens, Tees, Fairways, Roughs Edgers Rollers etc., hand watering areas like greens tees ornamentals and learning techniques for proper mechanical bunker rake use. Additional duties involve assisting in irrigation system repair maintenance tools facilities.

Qualifications

• Graduation or High School Diploma required dependent hardworking self motivated individual must have high aptitude for listening comprehending remembering instructions ability to ask questions when unsure valid state driver's license age 18 minimum team environment needed preference plays golf knowledge etiquette experience turf ornamental plant care basic mechanical skills water systems fertilizers chemicals manually operate vehicles handle irrigation machinery simple repairs adjustments apply pesticides herbicides liquid apply conditioners soil care sod establishment planting provide encouragement education business plan ensure manage successful economic efficient results job mostly seasonal work great opportunity growth learning about
