    Director, Manufacturing – Sylmar, CA

    Job Summary:

    Manage and direct all operational activities of Quixote equipment manufacturing and staff to ensure safe, efficient attainment of the production plan while adhering to prescribed quality standards, efficiency targets and inventory objectives.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Manage projects from initiation to closure to meet the deadlines, cost and quality levels.
    • Oversee and direct manufacturing workforce and interact with other supporting functions and groups.
    • Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure adherence to safety regulations, scope of work, goals, deliverables, KPIs, budget, timing and quality level.
    • Track and report project milestones and provide status to corporate executive level while keeping the work force informed of progress. They will have to lead, coach, and motivate project and manufacturing team members.
    • Assists SVP, Production Services Operations with long-range operating goals, expansion efforts, and implementation of new and advanced technology.
    • Determine recruitment needs and any adjustments needed to increase or reduce the workforce.
    • Analyze the risk and future impact of decisions
    • Set and meet deadlines. Forecast changes and communicate current and projected issues.
    • Ensure open communication to the management team. Address delicate situations and handle conflicts in such a way as to maximize opportunity and minimize exposure to risk.
    • Ensures a healthy and safe working environment, and compliance with federal and state regulations, through collaboration with environmental, health, and safety staff.
    • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

    Required Experience and Abilities :

    • A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing, or relevant concentrations.
    • 8+ years in supply chain management or manufacturing in a leadership role.
    • RV Manufacturing experience preferred
    • Union experience preferred
    • Excellent computer skills and demonstrated working knowledge of computers and software including MS Windows, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Able to understand detailed architectural drawings, schematics, shop drawings, and blueprints.
    • Strong leadership abilities with demonstrated experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
    • Proficiency in implementing lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement practices.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and levels within the organization.
    • Strategic mindset with a focus on innovation, problem-solving, and driving operational excellence.
    • Highly organized, efficient, and attentive to detail, with excellent follow-up skills.
    • Bilingual in English/Spanish

    Essential Physical Functions / Environment:

    • Requires a wide range of constant physical activities, including but not limited to: standing, walking, and sitting.
    • Frequent repetitive movements.
    • Requires close, distance, peripheral vision and depth perception.

    Compensation:

    Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role is $140, $175,000.00 annually.

    The salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including but not limited to market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, external market and internal value, including seniority and merit systems, and internal pay alignment. In compliance with the California Law, a potential new employee's salary history will not be used in compensation decisions.

    Quixote Studios reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position within the salary range listed, taking into account the wide variety of factors listed above
