Role Description
New England Psychological Solutions (NEPS) is soliciting applications for an outstanding opportunity for a licensed/certified mental health professional to support the Chariho Alternative Learning Academy (CALA). Clinicians will be compensated at or above top-step pay This is a permanent position that offers job security : full-time or 1⁄2 time positions may be available. School hours with small, manageable caseloads. Middle and High school students.
Job Description and Responsibilities
· Clinicians utilize evidence-based treatment for mental health services (EBT)
· NEPS clinicians collaborate with school personnel to provide multi-disciplinary services to students.
· Clinicians keep documentation related to treatment plans and clinical progress.
· Clinicians formulate and track social and emotional learning goals (SEL) as part of a student's IEP and multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) data collection.
· Data collection and storage comply with established FERPA and HIPPA protocols.
· Clinicians have state licensure/certification in Rhode Island.
· Clinicians receive support from a licensed psychologist.
· NEPS clinicians regularly meet, discuss, and report student progress with a psychologist and team members.
· Clinicians meet with students on their caseload regularly and as needed during the school day.
· Clinicians provide various case management and clinical interventions, including individual and group counseling, to support multiple treatment goals.
· Clinicians consult with students to provide psychoeducation and individual and group counseling to support optimal functioning and problem-solving, including but not limited to (academics, SEL, family, peer, and vocational).
· Clinicians regularly consult the psychologist and collaborate to provide accurate, updated, at-home communication. Such communication aims to guide at-home caregivers to improve support and potentially enhance treatment adherence, ultimately improving functioning and well-being.
· Clinicians follow school-wide protocol to obtain permissions and consent from students' families, teachers, advisors, school-related employment contacts, medical providers, and peers.
REQUIRED:
Rhode Island licensure as LMHC, or LICSW or LMFT or Psychologist or RIDE certification as a school psychologist or social worker
Positions are available M-F during school hours only—nights, Weekends, and NOT available at this time.
