As a valued colleague on our team, you will contribute to assessments of design adequacy and operating effectiveness of controls within the Finance division.
Specifically, this role will support Finance audits, including audits of key operational processes such as accounting, treasury and capital management and financial reporting.

Responsibilities
The Senior Internal Auditor - Finance role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:
Assist with audit planning and drafting initial audit scope. Document details of planning and walkthrough meetings. Assist in identifying controls to mitigate potential risk factors within assigned process/areas. Contribute to the development and maintenance of risk-based audit plans. Develop, document and execute audit test steps in partnership with more senior team members.
Evaluate controls and identify control gaps. Conduct substantive testing, such as tests of detailed activities and transactions or analytical review tests.
Document and maintain sufficient supporting information and facilitate the presentation of findings and conclusions in accordance with work paper standards.
Identify and discuss audit findings with audit team and document exceptions. Assist with drafting audit reports and other key deliverables.Evaluate audit issue remediation and validate management's corrective action implementation.
Assist in coaching more junior team members on projects to help with their development.
Qualifications
THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Minimum Required Experience
2 years relevant experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be knowledgeable of the audit life cycle, including planning, design assessment, operating effectiveness testing, reporting, and issue monitoring
Desired Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
CPA, CIA, and/or CISA certification strongly preferred or in the process of obtaining
Internal or external audit experience in financial services is highly preferred
Skilled in information retrieval, including fact gathering, conducting focus groups and interviews with the goal to arrive at conclusions, explain concepts and answer critical questions
Skilled in creating visual concepts, creating content, and editing content by hand or with the help of computer software to communicate ideas
Relationship management skills including managing and engaging stakeholders, customers, and building relationship networks
Influencing skills including negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict
Experience in the process of analyzing data to identify trends or relationships to inform conclusions about the data
Must be able to present information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand
Must be able to work with individuals having a different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively while working toward a common goal
Skilled in the Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with data analytic tools, including: Power BI, Tableau, and/or Alteryx, preferred but not necessary
