    Position Summary:


    We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to design, build, test, package, deploy and operate our enterprise scale cloud platform.

    As part of this team, you will have a large impact on the evolution of next generation Cloud services for Bank of America and explore an extensive list of new technologies that will drive innovation across our company.

    This job is responsible for defining and leading the engineering approach for complex features to deliver significant business outcomes.

    Key responsibilities of the job include delivering complex features and technology, enabling development efficiencies, providing technical thought leadership based on conducting multiple software implementations, and applying both depth and breadth in a number of technical competencies.

    Additionally, this job is accountable for end-to-end solution design and delivery.

    Job Responsibilities include:


    Responsible for design, engineering of, and delivering capabilities in a fully automated and supportable fashion to the firms hybrid cloud platforms.


    Partner to deliver scalable IaaS and PaaS platforms for stateless and stateful workloads (Kubernetes and serverless) into a hybrid cloud architecture.


    Partner with Risk, Information Security, and compliance teams to bring visibility and implement enterprise controls, policies, standards, and industry best-practices.


    Develop, enhance, test, and assist in maintenance and support as needed for the hybrid cloud platforms, and provide escalation support to Operations and SRE teams and customers.

    Investigate new products and/or capabilities of existing products to serve customer requirements.

    Integrate products and features into existing bank processes, with an eye towards automation of the process.

    Ensures that the design and engineering approach for complex features are consistent with the larger portfolio solution.

    Define the technology tool stack for the solution and evaluate and adapt new testing tool/framework/practices for team(s).


    Enables team(s)/applications with Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) capabilities and engages with other technical stakeholders pertaining to efficient functioning of CI-CD pipeline.

    Guides and influences team(s) on design and best practices for high code performance e.g. pairing, code reviews.

    Works with stakeholders to establish high-level solution needs and with architects for technical requirements.


    Required Job Skills:
    BS /MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent working experience

    Experience with multiple large cloud service providers:

    Azure, AWS, and/or GCP

    Highly proficient in infrastructure automation tasks using tools such as shell scripting, python, Ansible or Terraform

    An appreciation and understanding of the software delivery lifecycle within a team-based environment

    Experience in agile deployment methodologies (e.g. GitOps)

    Experience with infra-as-code, config-as-code, policy-as-code in a large enterprise-scale environment

    Hands on experience with enterprise-scale container deployments from inception and design, through deployment, operation, and support including OpenShift and managed Kubernetes services such as AKS, EKS, or GKE

    Experience in cloud-native network, storage, and virtualization technologies

    Experience with automation in one or more of the programming: Python, Go, Ansible

    Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication (written, verbal, and presentation) skills are a must


    Desired Job Skills:
    Experience working in a highly available multi-datacenter environment

    4+ years of hands-on experience working on building, deploying and operating container solutions, including Kubernetes / OpenShift platforms

    Experience in Terraform, ArgoCD, Tekton, and K-native technologies

    Knowledge of various container runtimes

    Familiarity with the operator deployment patterns

    Operate in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent priorities

    Experience working within a regulated financial environment is desirable

    Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision
