    Job Description

    Mission Statement

    Core Responsibilities

    + Outreach and marketing manager responsible for engaging key stakeholders (including customers) and reaching customer enrollment goals.

    + Cultivate on-site presence and build relationships with local stakeholders and prospective pilot participants throughout each stage of the pilot project(s)

    + Use a personal vehicle to regularly attend customer site visits and meetings in the City of Mount Vernon (Mt Vernon Pilot Project), as well as in Manhattan (Chelsea & Rockefeller Center Pilot Projects)

    + Communicate scope and objectives of pilot project(s) to various internal and external stakeholders including senior management, all impacted working groups, local government officials, and policy makers.

    + Finalize and execute customer journey mapping including customer touchpoints and customer surveys to seek ongoing customer feedback.

    + Provide customer service support to develop FAQs, customer representative call center scripts, and resolve customer inquires and issues.

    + Act as on-site Con Edison representative for key stakeholders at Mount Vernon including local government officials, community stakeholders, and potential pilot participants.

    + Represent Con Edison at regulatory bodies, industry conferences, and external stakeholders in the context of thermal energy networks.

    + Develop pilot messaging to communicate the customer experience, billing, technology operation and maintenance, and pilot duration to a variety of audiences.

    + Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.

    + Ensure that safe work practices are followed, and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations.

    Required Education/Experience

    + High School Diploma/GED and 10 years of work experience or

    + Associate's Degree and 7 years of work experience or

    + Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of work experience or

    + Master's Degree and 2 years of work experience.

    Preferred Education/Experience

    + Bachelor's Degree in communications, marketing, environmental science or other relevant major and 5 - 7 years of experience

    + Master's Degree in marketing, policy, public affairs, or other relevant discipline and 2 years of work experience in utility, clean energy, or sustainability.

    Relevant Work Experience

    + Demonstrated project management and/or contract management experience. Required

    + Experience in marketing and outreach direct to customers. Required

    + Access to a vehicle to regularly drive to site(s) for community outreach events and customer premise visits. Required

    + Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to build strong relationships across multiple audiences. Required

    + Demonstrated organizational skills, and the ability to see the big picture while maintaining attention to detail. Required

    + Excellent oral and written communication skills. Required

    + Proven range of presentation skills to various audiences such as customers, teams, executives and/or industry stakeholders. Required

    + Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Required

    + Ability to collaborate with employees within the team and across the organization at all levels of management. Required

    + Self-motivated and comfortable working through ambiguity on timelines. Required

    + 2 years Experience with new technologies, utility business models, and rate design. Preferred

    + Experience with thermal energy networks, waste heat recovery, decarbonization, building electrification, and/or renewable energy. Preferred

    + Experience working with and presenting to DPS staff and/or executive stakeholders. Preferred

    + Driver's License Required

    Other Physical Demands

    + Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
