    Position

    Summary

    The primary function of this position is project delivery lead providing project management of various civil engineering projects with a primary focus on roadway projects.

    This includes engineering design and coordination functions, staff

    development/mentoring

    proposals, budgets, scheduling, client meetings, tracking, reporting, contracts, status reports, invoicing, Quality Control etc.

    This position will also have business development responsibilities including building and maintaining relationships with CDOT, CCD, and other Municipalities throughout Colorado.

    Project

    Management/Technical

    :


    Responsible for all aspects of a project including identifying and documenting scope of work and key deliverables and timelines, negotiating contract revisions, cost control, staffing and quality control.

    Provide technical solutions, judgment and mentorship to mid-level and junior staff.
    Assure that engineering services are commensurate with professional standards, client requirements, and Shrewsberry objectives
    Manage local Shrewsberry personnel (as well as sub-contractors) to meet project deliverables in a timely manner while remaining within budget
    Responsible for maintaining schedule, budget, and profitability of assigned projects
    Work with technical staff to develop proposals, scopes of work, and fee estimates
    Determine staffing levels needed for projects with close coordination with Senior Manager/Director
    Prepare and disburse project status reports
    Follow internal QA/QC requirements
    Utilize project management software for successful project management and accurate reporting of employee expenses and time
    Business Development :

    Help to develop business and market Shrewsberry services in Colorado
    Research and gather information on potential clients and projects
    Schedule meetings with new and existing clients to build and maintain relationships
    Participate in client relations management for assigned key clients
    Identify key local prospects and leads and participate in the pursuit
    Represent Shrewsberry in assigned locations, markets, and industry associations
    Participate in proposal presentation and business development activities
    Responsibilities may also include:

    Participate in punch lists, testing, and commissioning.
    Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
    Identify discrepancies or conflicts within documents.
    Assist with review and reconciliation of project schedules; verification of project completion and milestones.
    Education

    and/or

    Experience
    Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering from an accredited university or college
    A minimum of 12 years of experience in transportation engineering; and a minimum of 4 years of experience as a project manager
    Proven success in project

    management/delivery
    Colorado Experience a plus
    LICENSES; CERTIFICATES; SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Professional Engineer (PE) license in Colorado; licensure in additional states may be required in the future
    A valid driver's license and the ability to maintain insurability under the organization insurance policy
    Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities
    Comprehensive knowledge of the practical application of engineering. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various deliverables
    Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.
    Meet project deadlines within given budget limits and time frames
    Prioritize and multi-task assigned projects, and work with minimal supervision
    Quality Control/Quality Assurance focus
    Assist in development of responses to RFPs, RFQs, Requests for Statements of Qualification, and various other proposal requests
    Work effectively individually and as a team member; establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, and employees in other departments
    Proficient in operating various specialized software including, but not limited to, CADD and 3D modeling software ( Civil 3D and/or Microstation

    Effective marketing of Shrewsberry services to various clients

    This is a full-time position with a base salary that ranges between $130,000 - $150,000 per year.
