Description:
This position is expected to act as a subject matter expert on Esri Enterprise ArcGIS and GIS technologies.At a high level, the position will be expected to participate in and actively support the continued evolution of MDT's on-prem Esri Enterprise ArcGIS architecture and GIS technologies.In addition, this position will assist with the future cloud migration of Esri Enterprise ArcGIS.This will include technology and business process changes supporting Esri Roads and Highways.The position will be expected to collaborate closely with Planning Division GIS staff to assure their Esri, GIS, and MDT business practices are supported, as well as those needs of other divisions and business units within MDT.
In terms of application development, this position will also perform analysis, design, and development tasks individually or as a member of a project team in support of the Department of Transportation's day-to-day operations. The incumbent will follow the department's agile software development methodology and use agile tools for enhancements and new development. Varying levels of computer programming, systems analysis and design and project management will be required based upon placement in the career ladder.
