    Description

    This is an ON-SITE position in Arlington, VA (5 days IN OFFICE)

    NO C2C or Sponsorship is available

    We are looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer who can own production support and operations for internal web applications, databases and data feeds for on-prem infrastructure of an in-house development team AND develop and own a vision for the platform

    Qualifications:

    • Degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in managing on-premises servers in a production environment.
    • Proficiency in operating systems such as Windows Server
    • Experience with PowerShell (Python is a plus) for automation and task scheduling.
    • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and containerization (e.g., Docker).
    • Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
    • Experience with the ELK stack (or similar) of monitoring and logging tools
    • Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
    • Communication skills with the ability to convey technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Certifications such as MCSE, RHCE, or equivalent are a plus.
    • SQL Server administration experience is a plus
