    Social and Health Program Consultant - Employment Program Specialist (project positions)

    The Aging and Long Term Support Administration is looking to hire an Employment Program Specialist to support employment programs in the region; provide consultation, training, and support for case management staff, and participate in the development of policy and procedures.

    You'll oversee quality assurance in the region's employment programs.


    We have statewide opportunities located nearest you, within all regions of Washington state, with some travel throughout the area and the state.

    This is a project employment opportunity. The funding for these projects are expected to last until June 30, 2028.

    Some of what you'll do


    • Regional Employment Specialist for case management and supervisory staff
    • Provide policy direction and training regarding Employment Program services
    • Act as primary point of contact for staff regarding regional and statewide employment program systems issues
    • Support staff who identify interested clients, review eligibility for employment programs, and enroll clients in available employment programs
    • Collect, analyze, and provide program information data for reports
    • Coordinate with our staff and the Area Agencies on Aging staff and communicate with clients regarding employment services, policies, procedures, training, contracts, and outreach
    • Participate in committees and workgroups regarding waiver and employment programs
    Who should apply

    Those with a bachelor's degree in social work, health or social science, public administration or related field and 5 years of experience with supported employment or related community services

    Or


    A master's degree in social work, health or social science, public administration or related field and 3 years of experience as stated above in long term care systems.

    (Experience in a related field of work may substitute year for year for education.)

    Desired


    • Knowledge and experience in supported employment or similar employment related services
    • Knowledge and experience in Long Term Services and Supports
    • Experience overseeing statewide programs that support Medicaid clients
