- Lead all employee relations initiatives for our fireworks (FW) and special effects (FX) divisions ensuring balanced advocacy for the needs of the organization and employees while ensuring adherence to all policies.
- Partner with management to improve employee engagement and productivity through training and development, performance management, and positive employee relations.
- Provide hands-on support to employees and managers to better understand people and human resources processes, policies, and standard operating procedures to maximize organizational effectiveness and ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with management to understand the business strategies, goals, objectives, and financial performance of the organization; build ongoing relationships with organization leaders and managers.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify and nurture high-potential employees for key roles.
- Develop and implement succession planning programs to ensure a pipeline of future leaders.
- Establish key HR metrics to measure the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.
- Stay abreast of HR compliance and policy updates, educate business leaders, and assist with implementing HR practices that allow the organization to be current and compliant.
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with business unit leaders and departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Manage the full employee life cycle.
- Support and assist the EH&S Manager with workers compensation and general liability claims and investigations.
- Manage content, compliance and completion of assigned training through a Learning Management System.
- Prior experience providing strategic HR guidance to senior leadership of an organization.
- Experience in leading employee relations and performance management.
- Experience working in a multi-location/multi-state organization highly preferred.
- Able to effectively handle multiple and shifting priorities and maintain professional composure.
- Able to work in a fast-paced, high energy and team-oriented environment. Able to produce high quality work under pressure and within tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; able to develop and maintain relationships with coworkers and business leaders by building trust and honoring commitments.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to resolve issues, manage conflict, exercise good judgement, and be a creative problem solver.
- Strong foundational knowledge of HR regulations and compliance topics across multiple states.
- Adept at quickly mastering new systems and technology.
- Google Workspace, Netsuite, HubSpot, and are preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be substituted.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in progressive HR roles, with past experience functioning as a business partner highly preferred.

This role will serve as a strategic partner to the organization, leveraging HR subject matter expertise and business acumen to drive organizational success through a people-centric approach. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones. The person in this role must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time and must move about occasionally inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery and have routine contact with individuals in the office. The person in this role may need to climb stairs, travel and have the ability to move about both indoor and outdoor venues. This person in this role must be able to lift 15 lbs routinely and 25 lbs occasionally.
Travel
This position requires travel, at least 25% of the time. Travel will be mixed, local and outside the local area and overnight.
Expected Hours of Work
This is an onsite position and the typical work schedule for this position follows a standard workday, with occasional flexibility for evening and weekend work during high-volume periods. All breaks and lunches will comply with local, state, and federal laws, and overtime, if required, will be compensated in accordance with local, state, and federal laws.
