    Job Title:

    Accounts Receivable/Payroll Associate

    Job Summary:

    We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable/Payroll Associate to join our team in Orlando. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing team that is a leader in the automotive industry.

    Berkshire Hathaway Automotive is part of the region's best dealerships, serving the greater Orlando area.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Process weekly payrolls for two dealership locations utilizing ADP Payroll Services.
    • Reconcile ADP payroll reporting and balance weekly, quarterly and annually.
    • Reconcile and generate yearly W-2s and all associated reporting to close year-end.
    • Point of Contact/Liaison for payroll support services.
    • Run adhoc, monthly and quarterly reports for benefits, overtime, 401k.
    • Run technician ITP weekly posting and reconcile at month-end.
    • Post 401k and 401K Loan contributions weekly.
    • Update sales commission sheets and reconcile to Schedule by Salesperson and distribute.
    • Complete monthly bonus and sales commissions.

    Additional Responsibilities:

    • Unemployment and Workman's Compensation:
      • State of Florida Unemployment websites.
      • Ensure claims are responded to within claim deadlines.
      • Initial reporting to parent company.
      • Maintain electronic reporting of claims, including annual reporting.
    • New hire and termination paperwork:
      • Adhere to New Hire & Termination Process Checklists.
      • Pre-employment drug, motor vehicle reporting and background reporting.
      • Update payroll/ADP for new hires and terminations.
    • Vacation and Benefits:
      • Maintain Excel Spreadsheet of all employee vacation allowance.
      • Reconcile vacation accrual monthly.
      • Calculate vacation time for each employee and track weekly/monthly/yearly.
      • Benefits insurance billing and post to General Ledger.
      • Coordinate Open Enrollment.
      • Review service work in process, make necessary adjustments on a weekly and/or monthly basis.
    • Cash:
      • Perform daily clearing account reconciliations for two dealership locations.
      • Credit Card, Cash and Cash sales posting.
      • Deposit Cash and Checks.
    • Assist with Job Postings and New Hire:
      • Post new positions as they are available.
      • Screen applicant submissions and send resumes to hire managers.
      • Driver's License/MVR records for new hires.
      • Coordinate annual Driver's License/MVR records and report adverse results to Department Managers, Controller and Risk.
      • Review Drug Screen Results.
      • Review Background Search Results.
      • Setup New Hires in CDK, ADP, KPA and Workplace Training.
      • Communicate new hire information and send to IT / do same for terminations.
    • Workplace Training:
      • DMV and DMVN site administrator.
      • Enter new employees / generate training instructions/track completed classes.
      • DMV and DMVN site administrator.

      • Order OSHA safety posters for compliance postings.
    • Accounts Receivable and Payment Postings:
      • Post payments, file copies, maintain files.
      • Call/email invoices to customers that are over 60 days old.

      Requirements:

      • CDK software knowledge.
      • ADP EV5 Payroll Software, a plus.
      • Previous experience in Automotive Billing.
      • Able to communicate effectively verbally in one-on-one situations to customers and other associates.
      • Clean and valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
      • Computer literate and must be able to learn Company software.
      • Understands employee payroll issues, and communicates solutions effectively, professionally, and respectfully.

      Educational Requirements:

      High School Diploma or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
