    Job Title: Food Service Associate

    Job Purpose:

    As a Food Service Associate, you will be instrumental in ensuring our food service area operates smoothly and profitably. You will uphold company standards while delivering outstanding quality food and service to our customers.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensure the food service department is open and ready for business during service hours.
    • Provide prompt and courteous service to all customers.
    • Communicate effectively with fellow associates.
    • Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws relevant to store operations.
    • Manage food preparation to minimize waste while ensuring sufficient availability for customers.

    Human Resources:

    • Treat all associates with dignity and respect.
    • Notify the store manager of any personnel issues or policy violations impacting store performance.
    • Assist in training new associates in their responsibilities.

    Security:

    • Ensure all associate shift procedures are followed carefully.
    • Provide a safe shopping and working environment.
    • Adhere to safety rules and utilize protective equipment as required.

    Merchandising:

    • Use current plan-o-grams effectively.
    • Communicate any special needs or requests to the manager.
    • Alert the manager about inventory needs to prevent stock shortages and maintain appropriate levels.

    Huck's Bucks Loyalty App:

    • Actively promote the Huck's Bucks Loyalty app to customers.
    • Inform customers about the app's benefits and guide them in signing up and using it for discounts.
    • Monitor customer transactions for potential misuse of points or discounts.

    Maintenance:

    • Ensure the food service area meets company standards for appearance.
    • Maintain cleanliness of all display cases and glass surfaces.
    • Report maintenance issues to the store manager if immediate resolution isn't possible.
    • Follow all sanitation procedures to keep food service areas clean.

    Safety:

    • Follow proper ladder usage procedures.
    • Adhere to lifting procedures according to company policy.
    • Use wet floor signs appropriately.
    • Report any accidents to the Store Manager and Corporate office promptly.
