    Quality Control Technician to cover PM shift- 6pm-6am.

    The Quality Control Technician performs quantitative and qualitative tests and checks on samples produced by the production lines. The Quality Control Technician is responsible for communicating quality and product performance related issue to the Production and Quality staff.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Perform required quality tests and checks as required by the Quality Control Plan in MES.
    • Test finished goods, accurately record the results and document checks into the quality database.
    • Promptly and accurately communicate all quality and product performance related issues to both the production and quality staff.
    • Escalate serious or unresolved quality and product performance issues to management.
    • Ensure that non-conforming product is identified, complete related traceback activities and reports (Out of Specs Backtracking workout form), and quarantine as necessary in MRB and physically in the QC Lanes.
    • Validate the start of a Work Order and complete Sign-off sheet.
    • Verify Hot Stamp and Print Standard and keep samples.
    • Complete Lay Out inspections, each TWD and/or Designated HWD lines once per shift, fill Layout Report.

    · Attain average time to test sample processing time to standard average.

    · Assist in maintaining Scrap reduction.

    · Continuous monitoring of Sample Dashboard for adherence to Sample Attainment KPI (%Resolution coils tested).

    · Complete all tests relevant to every Dynamic System's sample (manual or automatic) for adherence to Dynamic Sample Attainment KPI (%Dynamic tested).

    · Complete Shift Report in MES Quality Database prior to end of Shift.

    · Rotate from HWD to TWD every 4 hours (or vice/versa).

    · Ability to cover all lines relevant to the QC Station (TWD or HWD).

    · Follow all QC Procedures.

    · Complete recertification according to the frequency set in the relevant Skills matrix.

    · Perform 5S activities per set frequency and/or as needed.

    · Responsible for coverage of peers for duration of lunch/breaks and/or vacations.

    · Ensure production is not hindered by quality testing procedures.

    · Assist in training of Shift Crew Backups and/or internal department new hires.

    · Responsible for assisting in maintaining On Time Delivery to customers.

    • Other duties as assigned.
    Requirements:

    EDUCATION, MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    HS diploma or equivalent

    EXPERIENCE

    Quality Control in a production environment preferred but not required

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Written and verbal communication skills required
