- Catering and Event Management, Convention Services and Catering Manager with day to day office needs
- Providing phone coverage and incoming Sales inquiries
- Distributing faxes and other communication to appropriate areas
- Creating files and miscellaneous filing of files, papers, checks, electronic communication, etc.
- Creating Sales/Catering menu kits and restocking supply area as appropriate
- Controlling office supplies when necessary
- Creating department information (Banquet Event Orders, Catering information, etc.)
- Coordinating maintenance of office equipment
- Perform client billing
- Creating contracts and correspondence
- Create and distribute report as assigned for review
- Deliver DKN's "Home Away From Home" experience
- Capturing all Sales information in the Reserve sales system
- Perform Site tours as directed by the Sales Manager or the GM
- Monitor and complete filing of registration cards, reservations, correspondence and no- shows.
- Check Maid's list and ensure room availability status is accurate.
- Maintain good guest relations by keeping abreast of all in-house and area functions in order to answer questions and concerns with timely and knowledgeable responses in person and on the phone.
- Contribute to and maintain established information and communication sources such as department and front desk log books in order to enhance department communications and operations.
- Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel.
- Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
- Greet arriving guests and complete established check-in procedures on a daily basis in order to ensure that guests are fully satisfied.
- Facilitate guest departures on a daily basis by following established procedures in order to close guest accounts and determine future room availability.
- Regularly calculate and/or post monies, receipts, guest accounts and other forms of credit using proper cash handling methods and established procedures in order to present the guest with accurate hotel charges upon check-out.
- Must be aware of the importance of safety and security.
- Endeavor to be conscious of safety and security at all times.

Only within the guidelines established by management and to the extent of operating within the Company policies and procedures
Working Conditions/Environment:
Office area. Access to entire interior and exterior of property.
High school diploma or GED and a minimum of 1 year experience in Hospitality sales.
Skills/Abilities/Other Requirements:
Ability to effectively communicate in English with guests/visitors, management and fellow team members to their understanding. Professional and friendly demeanor with a positive attitude, ability to multi-task in a high-profile, high-traffic environment, ability to read, comprehend and write simple instructions and/or short correspondence and memos, clear, concise written and verbal communication skills, working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook. Room Key PMS preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent standing, sitting, walking and climbing stairs. Repetitive bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying. Reaching above, at and below shoulder level. Lifting and carrying and pushing, unassisted up to 25 lbs.
