The opportunity
Route is looking for a Sr. Software Engineers for its backend team. As a Sr.

Software Engineer, you have an opportunity to develop next-generation technologies that will fundamentally alter the way people discover and celebrate the world's best brands and products.

Your role is fundamental to the development of Route's product.

The team is looking for engineers who can learn and contribute with a great deal of independence and you feel comfortable taking ownership of tasks and collaboratively solving problems.

Route engineers bring fresh ideas, that lead to solving new problems cross-functionally with leaders in Machine Learning and Product to implement solutions and features that will lead to better data-based decision-making.

What you'll do
Design, develop, test, deploy, and improve backend software
Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
Deliver features and solutions with high confidence and quality
Embody a culture of innovation, transparency, and radical candor
Define and standardize engineering SDLC processes for workflows
Collaborate with Product Managers, Machine Learning Engineers, and Data Analysts to
develop solutions and features
What we're looking for
5+ years of software engineering experience in backend development
Solid understanding of Computer Science fundamentals
Experience with one or more general-purpose languages, e.g. Go, C/C++, Java, C#, or other compiled/semi-compiled language
Go experience preferred
Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
Experience working with distributed database technologies
BS/BA degree in Computer Science preferred

Pay Transparency

Salary for this role:
$167,000 – $174,000

The cash compensation above includes base salary, and is not reflective of potential commission for employees in eligible roles, or annual bonus targets under Route's bonus plan for eligible roles.

In addition to cash compensation, all Route employees are eligible to participate in Routes equity incentive plan to receive stock options per the terms of the agreement.

Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay.

Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their career level, skills, experience, specific geographic location qualifications and other job-related reasons.
