    Description

    The Business Risk Officer manages centralized control programs and/or common controls across retail branch network. Provides direct support to the Branch Services leadership team in managing multiple complex issues and caps to mitigate all risks to branch processes. Supports crafting and publishing branch operating policies & procedures, field communications, and execution documents, ensuring all risk and controls are identified and documented for ARCM/MCA program. Actively engages and influences key business and functional partners to achieve optimal business outcomes including documenting operationally efficient, clear, and concise guidance for branches to execute on while mitigating risk.

    Responsibilities:

  • Manage branch network centralized control programs and/or common controls across the Retail Branch Network
  • Proactively assess risk ensuring ARCMs and process maps are created or maintained where applicable
  • Manage multiple Retail Branch Network owned issues and corrective action plans from end to end
  • Create and/or revise branch policies and procedure documentation to support branch execution of operational priorities
  • Facilitate branch policy and procedure change control process to ensure appropriate vetting, signoffs and readiness plan development prior to placing changes into production
  • Craft branch channel communications to clearly convey key operational changes and influence successful branch adoption and integration of changes seamlessly
  • Manage positive working relationships with key business and functional partners including branch operations, Risk, Fraud, In-Business Controls, Compliance, Legal
  • Support audit/regulatory (internal and external) reviews; provide walkthrough of branch activities, supply deliverables and timely responses to audit or regulators.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the bank's reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients and assets.
  • Provide ad-hoc project management and operations subject matter expertise support for key branch operations and business initiatives.
  • Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of activities and control environment of a retail branch
  • Competence with MS Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong organizational skills with significant attention to detail
  • Experienced internal relationship management and influencing skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability to improve processes and manage projects
  • Minimum of 6-10 years experience in a branch leadership role preferred
  • Education:

  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
