    **Description**

    The Transportation Coordinator completes the day to day functions within Transportation for inbound load planning using Mercury Gate Transportation Management System. The Transportation Coordinator reports to the Transportation Manager. Roles and responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

    JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (% of the time)

    Results and Accountability: (80%)

    Complete daily operations in Inbound Transportation

    Training

    Vendor/Corporate/DC Communication

    Inbound load planning for vendor orders

    Monitor all loads

    Data entry of shipping information

    Follow Standard Operating Procedures consistently

    Plans, schedules, and meets daily transportation goals

    Execute plans to support inbound transportation and company's business planned growth

    Meets or exceeds performance to include, but not limited to:

    + Safety/Quality/Job Knowledge/Production/Attendance

    Maintains and strengthens internal/external customer-supplier relationships

    Develops and maintains strong working relationships at all levels

    Communication and Customer Service: (20%)

    Peers within Transportation

    Vendors/transportation carriers

    Human Resources

    Transportation Supervisor/Transportation Manager

    Corporate Personnel

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

    1-2 years of Transportation/Logistics

    High School Diploma, Some College preferred
