    JOB DESCRIPTIONWood is seeking a Project Engineering Manager with offshore oil & gas experience. Local candidates to the Houston, TX Office please' as there are no relocation assistance or per diem provided.
    Authorization to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship required.

    RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for the execution of the engineering portion of a multi-discipline engineering scope of work on one or more projects / work scopes.

    Has responsibility for coordinating and completing the various engineering, and start-up aspects of a project(s) while meeting HSSES, quality, schedule, and budget performance goals.

    Has responsibility for the technical excellence of the engineering portion of a project(s) across all disciplines.

    Contributes to delivery of engineering excellence through:

    Driving technical assurance on the assigned scope(s) of workManaging and leading, supporting and supervising the discipline engineering teams on the assigned scope(s) of workManagement of key stakeholders in the execution and delivery of contracted activitiesDeveloping and retaining motivated and competent people.

    Undertaking the role of process ownerDriving safety by designDriving and leading on opportunities for innovationExperience delivering engineering and design on large offshore facilitiesMay participate directly in the design, development and inspection of technical projects or in the engineering work of the department.

    Conveys a sense of urgency and drives issues to closure; Persists despite obstacles and oppositionWorking proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

    Working knowledge of work processes and interdiscipline coordination/practicesEIT or PE preferredSite engineering or construction management related experience preferredPersonal attributes:

    Open, positive attitude, willing to be part of a multi-discipline teamAbility to multi-task and use good judgment in prioritizing workloadSelf-starter - able to take initiative to identify and complete tasksExpresses ideas clearly and concisely.
