Job description
We are looking for a skilled Structural Designer to join our team in Saint Paul, Minnesota.In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in creating innovative and visually striking display structures that highlight our creative capabilities.
This role requires a collaborative mindset and a strong background in structural design, particularly within the display design industry.Responsibilities:
- Develop creative and functional structural designs for displays, ensuring alignment with marketing goals and brand identity.
- Collaborate with teams across marketing, sales, and manufacturing to gather project requirements and deliver tailored design solutions.
- Utilize design software like ArtiosCAD to produce detailed renderings, prototypes, and mock-ups for internal and client presentations.
- Create precise technical specifications and assembly instructions to guide manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Evaluate material options and construction methods to identify the best solutions for each project.
- Work with external vendors and suppliers to source quality materials while adhering to budget constraints.
- Support the production team during manufacturing by providing detailed guidance to ensure design accuracy.
- Conduct quality checks on prototypes and final products to confirm compliance with design and functional standards.
- Maintain organized documentation of project files, specifications, and related communications.
- Stay informed on industry trends and integrate innovative practices into design projects.
- 2 plus years of experience in structural design, with a focus on display design.
- Proficiency in design software, particularly ArtiosCAD, for creating detailed renderings and prototypes.
- Strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Ability to develop precise technical specifications and assembly guidelines.
- Knowledge of materials and construction techniques suitable for display projects.
- Experience in quality control processes to ensure designs meet functional and aesthetic standards.
- Familiarity with sourcing materials and managing vendor relationships.
- Excellent organizational skills to maintain comprehensive project documentation.
