    Job Title: Student Success Specialist and DSO

    About the Company:
    Southwestern Seminary is a confessional institution owned by the Southern Baptist Convention, committed to shaping Christian leaders within our denominational context.

    Job Description:
    The Student Success Specialist and DSO position focuses on providing support to Southwestern Seminary and Texas Baptist College students inside and outside the classroom, emphasizing retention, tutoring, community building, data management, and assistance to the International Student Office.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Collaborate with the Director on First-Year Student Success initiatives and New Student Orientation planning and execution
    • Manage early awareness alert system for retention and assist in implementing campus retention strategies
    • Act as a Designated School Official handling immigration advising and documentation for international students
    Requirements:
    • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident with attention to detail, goal-oriented, and strong communication skills
    • Bachelor's Degree Required, Master's degree preferred, along with 1-2 years of student service experience
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and open to learning new software
    Supervision:
    • Reports to the Director of Student Success / International Student Services
    Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to sit and stand for long periods, use a computer, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform various physical tasks
    • Required vision abilities for close focus and adjustment
