    Human Resources Manager

    Our client is an organization in the greater Dodgeville area looking for an HR Manager to join their team on a direct-hire basis. As an HR Manager, you will play a critical role in aligning HR strategies with business objectives, fostering positive employee relations, and supporting the workforce in achieving their full potential. This position requires a strategic mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and a deep understanding of both labor and employee relations.

    The salary range for this position is $90-100k/year.

    The HR Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

    Responsibilities:

    • Strategic HR Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement HR strategies that support organizational goals and drive business performance.
    • Labor Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for all matters related to labor relations, including contract negotiations, grievance resolution, and union interactions. Develop and maintain positive relationships with union representatives to ensure a collaborative working environment.
    • Employee Relations: Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on a wide range of employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution. Proactively identify and address potential issues to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
    • Compliance: Stay current with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as applicable labor laws, including FMLA, ADA, and other relevant regulations.
    • HR Operations: Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including but not limited to, employee onboarding, offboarding, and administration of benefits programs. Partner with HR colleagues to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
    • Employee Engagement: Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention. Conduct regular surveys and assessments to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
    • Training and Development: Collaborate with managers to identify training needs and develop targeted learning programs to support employee development and career advancement.

    The HR Manager will possess the following:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 4 years of experience in an HR position, with a focus on employee and labor relations.
    • Strong understanding of labor laws, union contracts, and collective bargaining agreements.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility at all levels of the organization.
    • Proven ability to think strategically and translate business objectives into HR initiatives.
    • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • SHRM or HRCI certification preferred.
