Job Summary:

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the repair and maintenance of all mechanic equipment in the facilities in a timely manner. Must maintain a safe and clean work environment by following all TUI safety procedures and PPE requirements. The individual must act professional and respectful at all times. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.

Work Performed

• Be able to access all areas of machines and support equipment along with all areas of the facilities.
• Must be able to work with speed and precision to meet deadlines.
• Keep work area clean and pick up job site after all work is complete.
• Check equipment for proper operation to ensure the job is complete.
• Complete preventive maintenance on all equipment as assigned.
• Have knowledge of all hand tools and power tools needed to complete task assigned while using them in a safe manner.
• Ability to use construction equipment and tools in a safe manner.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting, check voltage and amperage on motors and pumps.
• Ability to use oxy/acetylene equipment for cutting and brazing.
• Ability to remove and replace pumps, motors, chemical pumps, well meters, and process meters and valves.
• Ability to do basic carpentry work and assist with facility rehab work that k involves roofing, siding, window, doors and painting.
• Have knowledge and use of computer skills, including word, excel and outlook, be able to use WAM system efficiently.
• Act in a professional and respectful manner at all times.

Education or Experience:

High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Licenses:

• Must have or be able to obtain a Class A CDL license and pass DOT physical exam within 12 months of hire.
• A license in one of the following is preferred but not required: Electrical, Well Driller/Pump Installer, Wastewater, Water or Plumbing.

Language Skills:

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and complete documentation in a timely manner.
• Ability to effectively present information to peers or supervision.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Must also be able to read and use measuring devices.

Physical Demands:

• Individuals must pass a company pre-employment physical and drug screen prior to commencing work.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to lift up to 100 pounds, climbing, crawling, stooping, reaching, grasping, and standing.
• Work also emphasizes visual acuity, hearing, and speech.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly Range: $ $26.39 hourly, based on experience and qualifications.
