Location: Auburn Hills, MI, US

Entry Level: Professionals (3+ years) Function: Purchasing **Webasto Roof Systems Inc. is currently recruiting for a Sr Serial Buyer located at their Auburn Hills Corporate Office.**

**If you have experience with negotiating with suppliers and VA/VE cost savings, then this position might be right for you**

**Job Responsibilities:**

Lead cost and price monitoring of series changes within program, as well as administrative processing of changes within series production

Management of material bottlenecks; including root cause analysis, negotiation with supplier, monitoring of measurables

Preparation of project schedule, supporting relocation activities for program, supporting new supplier commissioning, control of internal processes for relocations and estimation of cost

Process optimitzation and function-specific workflows

Negotiate with suppliers to manage Engineering Changes

Coordinate supplier tool changes, bank builds with Prog Mgt & SCM

Negotiate cost & timing with suppiers on VA/VE changes

**Education & Experience:**

Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field

5+ years experience in purchasing role, preferably in Automotive Tier supplier

Negotiation skills, understanding of Automotive Industry cost & timing

Good cross functional knowledge of Purchasing, SCM, Program Management & Customer Group requirements and expectations

Initiative to find the best solutions

Analytical and entreprenurial thinking
