To qualify as a Border Patrol Agent you must be:

1. A U.S. citizen;
   •Have had primary residency within the United States for at least three years during the past five-year period;
   •Not older than forty (40) years old according to Department of Homeland Security Directive 251-03 unless currently serving or having previously served in other Federal civilian law enforcement positions under Title Five USC Chapter Eight Thirty Six c or d
