DESCRIPTION-

RADIOGRAPHER X RAY TECHNICIAN

XRAY TECH

Full-Time

X-Ray Technician will have the following job responsibilities:

• Performs full range of General Radiology procedures including but not limited to: Portables, fluoroscopy, operating room, trauma, contrast studies and DEXA bone densitometry in a digital/PACS environment.
• Responsible for operating a variety of x-ray equipment in both a hospital/trauma and outpatient setting.
• Responsible for confirming order/correct patient/correct exam and entering exam in Meditech.
• Must obtain quality image including both technical and positional factors. Responsible for maintaining exposures to ionizing radiation as low as reasonably achievable.
• Responsible for confirming patient demographics and lead markers prior to processing/QA and releasing image and assuring all "Stat" procedures or special exam instructions are completed appropriately. Adapts to schedule changes including call shifts and call back for procedures/holidays.
• Follows policies and procedures of West Florida Hospital.
• Participates in the Quality Improvement process and adheres to WFH standards of behavior.

X-Ray Technician must meet the following minimum job qualifications:

• 1 year of RECENT (WITHIN THE LAST YEAR OR TWO) ACUTE CARE RAD TECH EXPERIENCE.
• Graduate of ARRT Accredited Program and current ARRT registry required
• Current ARRT registry required, Florida Certification is required.
