    Position Overview:
    • Under the direction of the Director of Special Projects, the Project Specialist has the responsibility of day-to-day operations managing client expectations, developing detailed project plans, defining scope of projects, understanding project gaps, following-up with team members on specific tasks and when needed assign tasks to appropriate support staff.
    Essential duties & responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    Project Related Responsibilities:
    • Coordinate with the project team to ensure maximum performance, by providing purpose, direction, and motivation
    • Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation
    • Create a detailed project management plan that sets milestones and deadlines.
    • Develop other project documents including workflows and resource documents
    • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, and schedule
    • Analyze project status and, when necessary, revise the scope, or schedule to ensure that project requirements can be met
    • Establish and maintain relationships with relevant client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes
    • Establish and maintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards and assessing risks
    • Detect, report, and provide solutions to project-related issues
    • Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work plan
    • Change Management and Process Improvement
    • Track project performance using appropriate KPIs, metrics, tools, and other techniques
    • Submit deliverables and ensure they adhere to quality standards
    • Perform any other relevant, project-related duties when needed
    Team Related Responsibilities:
    • Coordinate the team throughout all project management phases
    • Ensure that all team members have the required information and resources to carry out their tasks effectively
    • Manage diverse teams and projects (sometimes simultaneously)
    • Facilitate daily/weekly meetings
    • Meet with individual team members to find and fix any issues
    • Foster a culture based on accountability
    Client-oriented responsibilities:
    • Manage communication with external and internal stakeholders
    • Organize and participate in client meetings
    • Ensure compliance with client requirements and business needs
    • Ensure customer satisfaction
    • Bring together all company units to meet client demands
    General business responsibilities
    • Maintain business relationships
    • Contribute to the development of the company, its processes, and its projects
    • Recommend further improvements
    • Align the company's general business targets with the project's objectives and outcomes
    Education:
    • Bachelor's Degree preferred in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration; or the equivalent of 3-5 years of Healthcare Project Management experience. Or 3-5 years of full-time experience in all facets of FQHC/CHC Project Managing within a multi-entity, healthcare environment;
    • Or a combination of education and work experience may be considered.
    • Project Management credential preferred.
