    At Eriez, employees are the catalysts for our success Currently, we are looking for a 2nd shift Welder at our Wager Road facility who will be responsible for interpreting complicated engineering drawings and utilizing T.I.G.

    welding procedures to use various welding machines and filler materials as directed. This person will report to the 2nd Shift Supervisor.


    Responsibilities:
    Plans details of work order procedures; gathers required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the job Must be able to weld components that are vertical, flat, or overhead Set machine for welding (i.e. wire feed, amperage, etc.)


    Prepares, assembles, fit and tack weld parts and surfaces to be welded Perform sanitary welding tasks efficiently Monitors the welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage Operate overhead cranes, clamping devices, forklifts Operate plasma cutter and carbon arc.

    Able to operate tools including but not limited to hand tools, manual machine tools, torch, drill press, etc Proficient in all T.I.G.

    welding procedures Requirements Have a welding tech degree/certificate or 2+ years of applicable welding experience - may consider if degree in process AWS D.1.

    1 Certification preferred Visually identify stainless steel, aluminum, mild steel and other materials Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and use basic shop math including decimals and fractions Basic understanding of design techniques, principles, and tools necessary for the precise production of technical plans, drawings, models and blueprints Thorough understanding of machines and tools used in welding including designs, uses, maintenance and repair High school diploma is preferred Have basic computer usage knowledge Benefits 401(k) Employer 401(k) matching Dental insurance Disability insurance Flexible spending account Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Tuition reimbursement Vision insurance Hourly pay (starts from) :
