Warehouse Manager reports to the Divisional Director, Warehouse Located in Landover, MD Full-Time In Office The Warehouse Manager is responsible for planning directing and coordinating transportation storage and distribution activities at our distribution center This critical role ensures compliance with organizational policies government regulations and safety standards while optimizing warehouse operations to meet customer needs Team Management Direct daily activities of over employees including supervisors material handlers shippers and receivers Conduct performance reviews provide training and ensure cross-training of personnel Shipping And Receiving Management Manage all aspects of shipping and receiving operations to ensure timely accurate processing of orders Maintain inventory accuracy perform regular audits to reconcile discrepancies Safety And Compliance Execute safety initiatives including safety committee participation forklift safety HAZMAT procedures Implement warehouse policies procedures consistently maintain compliance with regulations Logistics Coordination Oversee distribution logistics activities UPS truck load LTL contracted delivery services Identify address sales purchasing issues optimize efficiency reduce costs Facility Maintenance Maintain warehouse facilities highest standards cleanliness organization security Schedule oversee maintenance repairs optimal functionality Customer Service Foster customer service culture providing support internal sales personnel end customers Address inquiries concerns promptly professionally Leadership Communication Promote good morale positive attitude team members fostering collaborative productive work environment Communicate effectively Director Operations General Manager stakeholders address issues drive improvement initiatives Competencies Availability vary shifts weekends timely project completion High school diploma equivalent college degree preferred Proficiency English written verbal Ability lift pounds operate forklifts other equipment Proven leadership team-building skills experience motivating directing staff Familiarity warehouse systems scanning technology ERP systems Prior experience shipping receiving functions Microsoft Office software Qualifications & Experience High School diploma GED equivalent military practical experience years distribution management Proven track record improving productivity efficiency distribution facility Clean driving record ability insured delivery vehicles Ability successfully pass background check post offer acceptance Physical Requirements Ability lift pounds Bend twist body Use hands handle control feel objects tools controls Stand long periods time Keep regain balance Kneel stoop crouch crawlResponsibilities:
