    Description

    Position Description

    Employee will provide financial support to various departments and technical programs throughout the Corporate Business and Analysis Group. The incumbent will be responsible for applying methods, techniques, procedures, and work sequences assigned by senior personnel and assisting senior personnel in performance of financial tasks. Employee will be responsible for executing transactional actions and financial analysis such as processing PID/PRs, fund documents, data extractions, budget status reports, labor and non-labor adjustments, creating adhoc reports, return/revert available balances/write off gains, researching Navy ERP for billing errors and providing recommendations for correction, processing accruals as well as training others on these tasks and providing guidance to others on the team. Must be able to advise other technicians on anomalies encountered during performance of daily tasking. Employee will work with various types of funding including: RDT&E, OMN, and OH and must understand projects supported. Employee must attend and participate in lower level technical meetings and present financial reporting to customers.

    Employee will be proficient in utilizing the Navy ERP financial system, and extracting data from NERP and will be responsible for utilizing various electronic systems such as EDA, Funds Document Portal, Advana, Teams and guiding others on the use. Employee will be proficient in using Microsoft applications such as Word and Excel.

    Employee must be familiar with Financial Management Regulations/Federal Acquisition Regulation - Research Comptroller Guidance/Policies/Appropriation Law/Interpretation (DOD, DON, NAVAIR, PMA, WD. Must be able to research low level complexity customer inquiries regarding funding, accounting entries, and stages of encumbrance.

    Employee will provide financial support and recommendations with little oversight and direction and must be able to foster a positive working business relationship with personal at all levels.
