    Private Duty Nurse (LPN)

    We are seeking compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide skilled nursing care to patients in their homes and possibly at school in the Le Mars area. Our team serves clients ranging from infants to teens, offering various shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekdays, and weekends.

    Salary

    $30.00 - $33.00 per hour

    Job Description

    The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and coordinating quality patient care in compliance with physician orders. This includes continuously observing and assessing patient condition and care needs, documenting all activities and assessments, and participating in the development and update of the nursing care plan.

    • One to one patient care in a home environment
    • Execution of physicians prescribed plan of care and compliant documentation of care provided
    • Administration of prescribed medication, treatments, and therapies
    • Patient assessments, coordination of care
    • Health promotion, teaching, and training of family members

    Requirements

    To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:

    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
    • Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse in the state of practice
    • Current CPR certification
    • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures

    Preferred Qualifications

    Aveanna values candidates with:

    • Six (6) months of recent experience as a Licensed Nurse in a clinical care setting
    • Home health experience

    Physical Requirements

    This role requires:

    • Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English
    • Must be able to travel
    • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
    • Must be able to sufficiently reposition patients and move equipment without assistance
    • Prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting
    • Must be able to sit and climb stairs
    • Must have visual and hearing acuity
    • Must have a strong sense of smell and touch
