    MEP Senior Project Manager – Mission Critical (Confidential)

    Dallas, Texas - No Travel

    My client is a nationally recognised contractor, known for delivering some of the most complex and sophisticated projects in the country. The firm operates as an end-to-end platform across construction management, design integration, self-perform services, technology, and innovation. With billions in annual revenue and a strong presence across major U.S. markets, they are widely regarded as a market leader in mission-critical construction.

    They are seeking an experienced MEP Senior Project Manager to join their Mission Critical group in Dallas, responsible for delivering large-scale, highly technical data center and mission-critical projects for leading technology and telecommunications clients nationwide. This team manages billions of dollars in work annually and is recognised for excellence in fast-paced, MEP-intensive project delivery.

    No travel is required for this position.

    This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of the MEP scope on flagship mission-critical projects, working closely with superintendents, BIM/VDC teams, designers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure successful delivery from preconstruction through commissioning and turnover.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection (MEP/FP) scopes throughout the full project lifecycle.
    • Review mechanical bid tabs and Exhibit B scopes during procurement.
    • Interview, select, and manage MEP subcontractors.
    • Oversee day-to-day performance, coordination, and compliance of MEP subcontractors.
    • Conduct regular site walks to ensure work is progressing according to schedule and quality standards.
    • Coordinate closely with Superintendents and BIM/VDC teams to maintain effective trade coordination.
    • Work with Architects and Engineers to resolve design and constructability challenges.
    • Review and manage all MEP submittals and long-lead equipment procurement.
    • Oversee inspections, testing, commissioning activities, and coordination with commissioning agents.
    • Coordinate with owner-appointed third-party contractors, testing agencies, and utility providers.
    • Manage life safety inspections and obtain all required AHJ approvals.
    • Ensure accurate closeout documentation, including as-builts, O&Ms, attic stock, and owner training.
    • Attend and contribute to owner, subcontractor, coordination, and field meetings.
    • Drive MEP punch list completion, turnover, and final closeout.

    Skills & Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, or related Engineering discipline required.
    • Strong background in mission-critical, data center, healthcare, life sciences, or similarly MEP-intensive environments preferred.
    • Proven ability to manage subcontractor performance, schedules, and financials.
    • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and contract comprehension.
    • Ability to evaluate financial trade-offs and make decisions in complex, fast-moving environments.
    • Strong problem-solving skills with the confidence to act decisively.
    • Effective communicator and team leader with the ability to resolve conflicts professionally.
    • Adaptable, proactive, and able to thrive in a dynamic project environment.

    Preferred Experience:

    • 10+ years of experience managing MEP/FP systems on large, complex construction projects.
    • Experience delivering large-scale mission-critical or data center projects.
    • Strong understanding of commissioning processes and life safety systems.
    • Hands-on experience coordinating BIM/VDC workflows with field execution.
    • Exposure to fast-track or phased delivery environments.
