- 1 -2 years of related experience

Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Occupation Therapist, the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) assists in providing rehabilitative services to persons with mental, physical, emotional, or developmental impairments in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern long-term care facilities to assure the highest quality of resident care and positive relationships among the community, team members, residents, and families. Monitors patients' performance in therapy activities and provides encouragement, assists in instructing patients and families in home programs, basic living skills, or the care and use of adaptive equipment, assists with implementing treatment plans.
