Duties
- Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles to deliver products across designated routes.
- Load and unload shipments using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Plan efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and adhere to scheduled delivery times.
- Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
- Verify delivery accuracy by inspecting packages, obtaining signatures, and documenting delivery details.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine safety checks to ensure optimal operation.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during route driving.
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with a strong understanding of route planning and navigation tools.
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred to assist with loading/unloading processes.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving license (CDL) or driver certification is a plus.
- Experience operating box trucks or heavy-duty vehicles with manual transmission is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks enhances efficiency in handling goods.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks safely and effectively during deliveries.
- Strong customer service skills combined with excellent communication abilities to ensure positive interactions with clients.
