- Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods
- Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee's performance
- Organize and maintain inventory and storage area
- Accomplishes warehouse human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; monitoring, appraising job contributions; adhering to policies and procedures.
- Determine staffing levels and assign workload
- Implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards
- Interface with customers to answer questions or solve problems
- Maintain items record, document necessary information and utilize reports to project warehouse status
- Monitoring and controlling inventory integrity through audit and correct material handling practices
- Resolve inventory problems in a timely manner and escalate as needed
- Track and report non-conforming product to ensure transactional integrity
- Ensure inventory transactions' accuracy
- Maintains storage area by organizing floor space
- Maintains inventory by conducting daily cycle counts
- Demonstrate awareness and compliance of safety requirements in assigned work area for self and peers
- Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices
- Confer and coordinate activities with other departments
- Other duties as assigned
- Supervisory Responsibilities
- Managing staff of 15+ employees.
- Monitoring and reviewing the work of staff members, including conducting annual performance reviews.
- Ensuring staff compliance with Company policy, quality processes, work standards, and any other applicable site practices
- Participate in hiring and recruitment efforts, including interviews for employees in Warehouse department.
- Five years minimum experience with warehousing and receiving components
- High School graduate, or general education degree required (GED)
- Three years minimum industry experience in manufacturing or transportation and/or training.
- Forklift certified.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Strategic and creative thinking to analyze issues that may arise, and create solutions.
- Ability to respond positively to feedback, and implement change in process and procedures as needed.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and other computer software, Oracle and Microsoft Office preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Safety oriented and knowledgeable of proper equipment maintenance
- Detail oriented and ability to multitask
- Dependable, well organized and strong time management skills

The Supervisor for the Warehouse Department - will be responsible for safely leading a team of Material Handlers who perform manual and clerical duties related to receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing and delivering a variety of materials, equipment and supplies in order to provide high quality product and customer service to Wabtec's customers.
